Enniscrone Golf Club is a stunning championship links course, a member of North West Golf Links and is ranked in Irelands Top 15 Links Courses. The course has an impressive 27 holes on 400 acres of scenic links land. The challenging course has been described as a ‘must-play’ by multiple golf journals and magazines. The most impressive thing about this course, besides its fantastic quality, is the stunning surrounds. You have definitely picked the right town for a golfing break!
Another scenic course, located only minutes from Enniscrone, is the Ballina Golf Club. This parkland course boasts a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for both its regular players and guests and they take pride in making you feel at home. The challenging 18-hole course is set against the stunning backdrop of the Ox Mountains so you can enjoy the views when you’re not in play. They cater for gents, ladies and juniors which means fun for all the family.
Arguably the most scenic golf club in Ireland, the Sligo County Golf Club was founded way back in 1894 as a basic 9-hole course and has evolved into the challenging 27 hole championship course it is today. The course is located on the idyllic Rosses Point, with the most amazing views of Knocknarea to the south and Benbulben to the north. The beauty surrounding the course was immortalised in the works of famous Irish poet, William Butler Yeats. Its features include a beautiful original Tudor-design clubhouse, a pro shop and newly renovated shower rooms and changing facilities.
Heading further west this time for a visit to Carne Golf Links overlooking Blacksod Bay in Belmullet, Co. Mayo. This beautiful course is rated top ten of all the courses in Ireland and once you see the manicured greens and magnificent unspoiled sand dunes, it’s not hard to see why. They take pride in the wild and rustic landscape that surrounds them and the development of the course has done little to disturb the natural beauty.
